Target group of Pattern Machine 3D are manufacturers of goods like: inflatable advertising media, hot-air balloons, sails, decal pictures, lamp shades etc.

Pattern Machine 3D's application field is the digital design of rotationally symmetric or irregular shaped three dimensional objects. The objects built with Pattern Machine 3D can be cut into flat slices and textures can be applied. Scope of this process is to create large sized, high quality, digital prints of patterns defining the object to be produced.

The digital design of an object is called modeling. In Pattern Machine following design approach is used to model and create the final high quality print:

Curves and lines can be designed or sampled to define the outline or skeleton of the three dimensional object. This curves are called Segments.

From the Segment outline a Mesh is created to define the digital reproduction the object.

If the mesh is satisfactory it is converted to slices defining the object pattern. The results of this operation are called Elements. Elements can be provided with seaming allowances, textured and finally high resolution rendered for printing.
